Mikvah Org

Who We Are Rooted in a Global Vision Mikvah.org was established to continue and expand the Rebbe’s global Taharas Hamishpacha campaign, launched in 1975 as part of the Rebbe’s worldwide mitzvah campaigns to strengthen Jewish life and identity. Building on the efforts of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbeim, who consistently emphasized the importance of mikvah observance and Jewish family life, the campaign brought renewed public awareness to Taharas Hamishpacha and inspired communities around the world to prioritize mikvah education and accessibility. Revitalizing Mikvah Awareness In the decades surrounding the campaign’s launch, many mikvaos in North America and beyond were underused, difficult to access, or unfamiliar to younger generations. The Rebbe encouraged communities not only to build mikvaos, but to create welcoming and dignified spaces that would make this mitzvah more approachable and meaningful for Jewish women everywhere. A Worldwide Movement Dedicated women’s organizations, educators, and community activists helped bring this vision to life through educational initiatives, outreach efforts, and communal support. These efforts sparked renewed engagement with Taharas Hamishpacha and helped strengthen awareness of Jewish family life across generations and communities worldwide. Growing Into a Global Organization Out of this movement, Mikvah.org emerged as a central international organization dedicated to supporting and advancing the Rebbe’s vision on a global scale. Today, Mikvah.org continues to help strengthen mikvah infrastructure, accessibility, education, and community support throughout the world. What We Do Education & Awareness Mikvah.org provides trusted educational resources that help individuals and families better understand Taharas Hamishpacha and mikvah observance.
